This controller is preprogrammed for the split system, most common in a residence, where the storage tank in the split system can be placed at the discretion of the architect, builder, or home owner.
The KTD-Pro is equipped with all necessary functions to control the solar hot water heating system. These include temperature differential controls to activate/deactivate the solar loop pump to transfer heat to the storage tank; an alternative heating energy source controller, which can be an energy source provider of electricity, gas, or other fuel, to regulate a boiler or resistor functioning to heat
water in the storage tank if the solar system is unable; recirculation pumps and apparatus; high temperature limiting controls; and system faults localization.
