  The iron ball is made of metal and very famous in China as one of the three treasures of baoding, China. It was first produced during the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644), iron balls have been improved through the ages by skilled Chinese handicraftsmen.
Original these balls were simple, solid, cylindrical objects. Later, handicraftsmen began designing hollow balls and inserting sounding plates that produce high and low tones when used.
These lighter balls are easier to be place in one hand and rotate them, clockwise,then
counter-clockwise with your fingers, this will make your fingers have a way as hand massage which would be a great stress reliever for people and as they move against each other, they can make a musical chiming sound and increase one's coordination
They are also well known as chiming ball, healthy ball, therapy ball, exercise ball,qigong ball, Taichi ball, Baoding ball etc.
