But benzyl alcohol can be slowly natural oxidated, genarates benzaldehyde and benzyl ether, and often causes almond smell into the end products. Therefore it should not be long storage. Benzyl alcohol is also widely used in the production of industrial chemicals. For paint solvent; photographic developer; PVC stabilizer; medicine; synthetic resin solvent; vitamin b injection solvent; ointment or liquid preservative. Benzyl alcohol can be used as nylon fiber; fiber and plastic film desiccant, dyes; cellulose ester; casein solvent, the preparation of benzyl ester or ether intermediates. At the same time, benzyl alcohol is widely used in the pen (ball-point pen oil); paint solvents.
